Where does everybody buy ammo if you buy online??? I would like everything...all the places you have bought from, what was your favorite/the best and reasons why you did or didnt like those sites. last time (and the only time i have ever) bought online was from cabela's and i had a $100 dollar gift certificate, so i only had to fork out about $20...if i hadn't had that certificate the prices after shipping and taxes would have not been worth the hassle, so i'm kinda shopping for a better (cheaper) place to buy ammo online...what do you all have to say??? thanks in advance!!!
AIM surplus aimsurplus.com (great company), sportsmansguide.com, ammoman.com ammunitiontogo.com. I usaully get mine from aim or sportsmansguide they have have the best prices with shipping. I've ordered alot of military calibers from both. AIM's custemer service is great. On thear15.com industry forum,Bryan one of the owners answers any and all questions you might have about when something might be available. Sportsmanguide has the best deal around on 7.62x54 right now.
Natchez and Wiedners are also good sources although I've never orderd from them.
What billy said; but you won't go wrong buying from J&G, AIM Surplus, Southern Ohio Gun or Classic Arms in North Carolina if you buy over the Internet. Just be sure to factor in shipping costs for the online guys and state sales tax at your local gun store when you are ready to decide who to buy from, so you have an accurate cost picture. When all costs are considered, about 90% of the time I can do as well at "my" local gun shop for milsurp ammo as I'd do online.
I still buy from Cabela's. So many of the others, including locals, are jacking up their prices that it's cheaper at Cabela's. Of course, I'm looking at 380 and it's difficult to find ANYWHERE.
That being said, anybody know anything about Herter's ammo?
I've bought from SurplusAmmo.com, Affordable Ammo is where I bought military surplus got center fire rifles and even bought pistol bulk ammo and the guys their are great to deal with....
I've bought ammo from GunBroker.com and never had a problem.
I've also bought from Sportsman's Guide and Wideners and had
no problems with either of them too!
Cheaper Than Dirt is not Cheaper Than Dirt in my opinion but I have
bought some ammo from them. Gander Mountain has ammo but
I refuse to pay their prices...I let them know once how high their ammo
was priced. Wal-Mart is the cheapest place to buy ammo if you can find it.
