A guy I used to work for had the radio on. "Stand back" by Fleetwood mack was playing. He asked me what they were singing. I told him "stand back". He replied with nothing more than "oh ok". I asked him what he thought they were singing and he said it always souded like "Tampax".
I laughed for a good five minutes.

'All the men would come around, and lay their monkey down'
Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves by Cher.
'lay their money down' it really is.

For years, Her Imperial Majesty thought that line was, "Dirty jeans and they're dungarees."

One of mine from the Black Crowes, "She Talks to Angels" was to hear "she talks to angels" as "She drives a reindeer," which made as much sense as anything else in the lyrics.

I also heard the line "Drove a tank, held a general's rank" from the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" as "Drove a tank while the generals drank," which at least somewhat makes sense considering the real line!

And for the longest time I heard the line from "We Don't Get Fooled Again" by The Who that is really, "Smile and grin at the change all around" as "Miles of green and there's change all around," which for some reason I thought referred to an open guitar case with money in it in front of the guy who decided to "Pick up my guitar and play/Just like yesterday" in which a street singer collects donations. I didn't get the real lyrics until I saw a lyric sheet on the Internet!

“I plead alignment to the flakes of the untitled snakes of a merry cow. And to the Republicans, for which they scam, one nacho, underpants, with licorice and jugs of wine for owls.”

I always thought of "Shock the monkey" as "Shoot the monkey!"

Stevie Nicks - "Stop dragging my car around!" I heard it that way BEFORE Weird Al did his version.

I always thought it was "dirty deeds and the thunder chief"

My wife has so many of'em she stopped singing around me because I would point them out.
"just like the world we love" instead of "just like the white wingged dove"

We I can think of more I'll post'em
