Looking for gunsmith

I have a project. A hobby gun if you may. So why is it that gunsmith's keep telling me you will have more money in that gun than it is worth or that action is to old and won't handle the presure but if I wanted to put a .450 Marlin barrel on a WWII Mauser or enfirld action they wouldn't think twice. I need a barrel threaded and just so you know it is a .450 Marlinand I want to put it on a Steyr M95 action. I would be willing to ship it to someone if the price is right.

Ask SBowers5...Steve will tell you if it is do-able and you could send it to him , like several other members Have...
