auto ordnance 45

built this gun from scratch auto ordnance frame wont feed anything but 230 FMJ why? any hollow points hit the feed and jam HELP?

Just guessing here and throwing out some ideas/things for you to look at, check or do? But, it could be a couple of possibilities? One, weak mag springs (of course if new mags not an issue then) or maybe the ramp need a little, very little polishing. Sometimes that can do it.

But before you do anything, put an empty mag into it and rack it and see where the mag follower lines up with the ramp. Make sure you have and are using the right mags? You might be using an 8 round and need a 7 round or something like that? Again, just guessing and throwing things out there to check.

And the fact it's only happening with hollow points leans me towards maybe first trying to and lightly and very slightly polishing the feed ramp first?

I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in.

How much ball have you fired through it? Sometimes you get one that needs a little breaking in and just get more dependable the more you shoot it (up until you wear it out :-)
