Most Mosin's will put off a good muzzle blast, but not that bad.
He must have been over doing his reloads.
If you want to have a real big muzzle blast out of a Mosin, try the Czech white tiped hollow core 44.8 gr. ammo. The bullet is out the end of the barrel before all the powder gets burned, and the result is a huge muzzle blast. If you shoot it in the late evening it will almost look like a camera flash going off.
What gun is he using> The photo is to blurry to tell.

It's a flame thrower. Click on the image and it'll open in a new page and be a tad bigger and you can see the hose under his right arm and behind him a little as well as the tank in his back...

No, no, no. You have it all wrong. The photo has been altered to hide the M44, lest the unwitting public get the hebejebes about all the unfettered Russian Flamethrowers amongst the populace.
MY M44 will do that any day of the month.

it is a flame thrower you can see the tank on his back. but that almost the size of the flame that comes out of my m44. scared my cousin first time he saw it. now he bought one.
Isn't the tank on his back some extra oxygen because he knows the slow burning powder loads in his Mosin will burn most of the oxygen out of the air? He needs to breathe to reload doesn't he? I don't even have a Mosin and I posted a comment like that......I feel dirty now.
