No, but our public schools don't appear to be watching out for our children either though? Our public schools seems to be aligning themselves up with politics. Though I suppose fear of losing federal funding could have something to do with this???

And if it still is done the way it was when my sons were in elementary school, where they could order books from the Scholastic Book Club, then odds are, these two books will be among the many they can order???

I remember those scholastic book clubs. I'm pretty sure my parents had to pay for the books though.

I don't know what I am more surprised at: the fact that you think I would buy a book Oprah has read, or the fact that you KNOW about the books Oprah has rea!

Surprising indeed...

...on both accounts.

And, since Oprah isn't on my top 1,000 list...

...I don't have interest or first hand experience in her book referral listing either.

Only concern concerning this that slightly crosses my mind...

...is what she thinks we think and how she thinks we'll think about this.

I hope that parents are wise enough to preview this book...

...should their school district be inclined to recommend and purchase it.

The King James was not divinely inspired. It may have been translated from a copy of something that was divinely inspired. But you have to know Hebrew to read what was divinely inspired.

That book is a pretty low blow even for liberals.

Just checked my Yahoo e-mail. I received 10 messages from Oprah in the last two days. Here we go. It will be in schools pretty soon.

From the beginning of time, and even before,...

...the voice of anti-god liberal apologist's has sought diligently to distract, devalue and deceptively twist truth in a subtle and an all out effort to manipulate and control, to lead and take us away from God and His intended goodness for us.

Today, we're hearing those voices clamoring even more loudly in persistent and insistent ways for attention,...

...distracting our attention, to cloud our remembrances and divert us away from our divine heritage and purposes here.

These voices manifest themselves across the spectrum of communication generally and within in the above noted book specifically.

Whenever we are alerted to one of the purveyors of this liberal apologists hyperbole we need to have the will and courage to call it like it is and respond appropriately...

...so that which our divine nature needs and seeks can be found, received and realized, unfettered by the binding ties these misguided sophistries entangle and hold us back with.

Thanks to those who are aware of and defend the divine...

...and who help us move toward and receive what He has for our best good and betterment.

One Nation Under God

Our founding fathers so new and acted when bringing forth our nation's founding documents and establishment of America,...

...based on crystal clear Judeo-Christian beliefs and knowledge.

And, patriotic Americans and statesmen have valiantly preserved and promoted such ever since...

Judeo–Christian (sometimes written as Judaeo–Christian) is a term used in the United States, broadly to describe a body of concepts and values thought to be held in common by Judaism and Christianity, which played a prominent role in the founding of America, the development of characteristic American values, the American Revolutionary War and the United States Constitution. Classical Greco-Roman civilization and the Judeo-Christian tradition are considered the two fundamental sources of Western legal codes and morality.

Oh really? Do you disagree that everybody's God is different? I mean, people read the Bible and put their own interpretations of God into a context that makes sense to them, therefore making everybody's God different. Because everybody has a different interpretation. No button pushing there, just the truth. Not to mention the many other religions and their God(s).

An example of liberal apology and associated distracting sophistry employed to again divert attention...

1 Corinthian 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

This is what Jesus Christ said. These are his words. In John 17:3 he says, "and this the way to have eternal life-to know you, the one true God,and Jesus Christ the one you sent to earth."
Those are his words, and this is what it says to me. I can only believe in the One True God that sent his only begotten son to earth to save mankind. Do not be fooled, there is only one God. Salvation is by choice, not by force.

I do not get upset with those that disagree with the Holy Scripture. I pray for them to be one day enlightened like I was. Not to be like me, but be Christlike in their daily lives. There was a time when I had many Gods too. The main one was Satan and what he wanted me to be, and I was doing him a good job. Then I found the one True God who loved me and sent his son to die for me. My life has been so blessed since I accepted him. I do pray for you.
