Century Arms You Fix 'em

Has anyone purchased one of these and if so what condition are they in? Is it usually a simple fix or are they too far gone to bring back? I know each one is different but if anyone has had any prolonged history with You fix 'ems I'd like to know. Thanks.

I too have been curiouse about those gun smith specials. just about all the major distributers have a list of them. they come in a variety of conditions. from missing small parts, cracked stocks to having no bolts. I have bought a Yugo SKS, and an Ishapore 2A Enfield with cracked stocks and they were both good shooters when I put them in plastic stocks.

It just scares me when the ad states may or may not include a bolt. If I sort of knew what might be missing I might take a chance on one.

I have had extensive experience with those deals.Generally, you can get 3 or 4 or 5 and make 1 good one. Then of course you have a pieced gun and parts of 2 or 3 others. Probably cheaper to buy 1 good one.On the other hand, once I bought 5 for 125 bucks I think Mosin model 44.I got 4 great guns and except for a front band, the 5th was great also.Bayos were missing on them all.Cleaning rods on 3.So who can know?I have seen some complete junk on several deals.

And Centerfire has K98 barrelled receivers for 30 bucks. But I'm scared to try one because they were in a fire.
