model 11 opinions??

probally end up going to the store on friday and putting a deposit down on a savage model 11 in .308 with a dark wood stock. Let me know what you fellas think about it, it does have the accutrigger and is priced at $400.

In my experience, modern day Savage rifles are exceptionally accurate right out of the box, and are all around great guns.

Ditto about quality of Savage. My next commercial deer rifle will be a Savage short action.

Might want to look at the Marlin XS-7 in .308 as well while yer there.

It's got a similar trigger as the Sav, but it's also pillar-bedded from the factory with a VERY nice recoil pad...and has been getting RAVE reviews from all the gun mags.

And it costs $120 less

yea i was big on the marlin xs7 for a little while but then i decided to go ahead and get the free float barrel along with a floor plate i didnt like the fact the marlin didnt have one, plus ive heard its hard to beat the accutrigger, but along with the savage i got him to throw in a scope base and a hard case.
Thanks
