Question!?

So I'm filling out the papers on C&R license and I need the CLEO address, that the house he live in or the police dept., I've been having stupid moments all day

Contact your local police dept. and ask for the appropriate info for your County CLEO (His/Her work address). You also need to send the CLEO a letter of intent for the C&R. Hope that helps.

Remember it goes to your most local CLEO, so if you live in town it goes to your police chief, not the county sherrif.

I've always sent mine to the Chief's name, care of the police department's address.

I send the copy that's intended for the CLEO, and a letter informing him that you're applying for a collector's license, and that you're not a dealer and will not be using this license to perform business, but only to better your personal collection, which is kept in a secure, locked place in your home..

Yeah, I know.. A C and R doesn't require this, but it gives the CLEO a warm fuzzy, and you should lock them up in a safe, anyway.. If nothing else, so some dickhead who knows nothing about your collection except that he stole it, isn't using the firearm to take some little ol' lady's social security money..
