Apparently (and IM NOT in any way making excuses for what he did) he according to his friends and family was getting a lot of harassment over his ethnicity both directly or non directly from the general environment and other military members over his ethnicity over the past few years and wanted to leave the military. Then he got transferred to Ft., Hood for eventual deployment to Astan. Preliminary it Kinda sounds like the kid in school that got bullied one to many times... EDIT: the other two people who were initially arrested have been released... Its possible they were simply trying to stop the shooter and got caught up in the middle of it all.

Religion is sometimes thicker than blood or duty. How many more sleepers are out there? He should of resigned, not shoot up his fellow soldiers. May God comfort the ones involved. We have got to change course and our strategy here, it ain't working. Sign of the times as Rave would say. Wow!

Se according to this article, the shooter is alive and in stable condition and under obvious military guard. Army: 12 dead, 31 hurt in attack at Fort Hood - Yahoo! News And I think they might have gotten his name reversed? Someone did anyhow. Because I saw and heard on Fox News it was Major Malik Nidal Hasan. And in the article I linked above they have it as MAjor Nidal Malik Hasan??? Not that it matter how it's spelled or what order it's put in in my book he's still a complete waste of God's good skin!

| I'm sure his lawyer won't let him say why he did it just yet until he “tells” him what to say. I don't buy the "got picked on" reasoning here. When I was in submarines, we got "pinged" on relentlessly and we didn't go at each other with Tommy Guns and .45 pistols, of which were in great supply. Same with the troops I saw in Iraq. They were armed everywhere they went and there wasn't any sudden acts of murder due to hard feelings there.

what really pissed me off was after the initial reporting this afternoon, all the empty headed suits started talking about maybe it was a PTSS GI may have snapped. what in all that is Holy did MSM do that???

last i heard it was 13 dead and up to 30 wounded......... is that the most current numbers of dead and wounded? i think i feel most sorry for the family of these men....... this is just horiffic.

The shooter is still alive and in stable condition. He killed 12 people, and injured 31. I'm glad he's subject to the Uniform Code Of Military Justice instead of Texas Law, that way, he can still be hung. I don't give a damn what his reason was, he's a mass murderer and took the lives of a dozen people, they're gone, he took all they ever were and all they were ever going to be and left any children they may have had orphans. All he deserves is a stiff rope and a short drop, and I hope he lives just long enough and gets just well enough to walk up those 13 steps at Fort Levenworth. That's my personal opinion.
