I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his “Obama phone.” I asked him what an “Obama phone” was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES. This program was started earlier this year. Enough is enough, the ship is sinking and it’s sinking fast. The very foundations that this country was built on are being shaken. The age old concepts of God, family, and hard work have flown out the window and are being replaced with “Hope and Change” and “Change we can believe in.” You can click on the link below to read more about the “Obama phone”.

This is an effective way to get the welfare vote. The government (Obama) would know how to reach those folks.

this could be OK in some situations. i acutally got one back earlier this year after i was laid off and when i was job hunting i need a way for employrers to reach me. after i got back on my feet i had it deactivated and donated the phone to a womens shelter. so in some situations it could be beneficial but the sad thing is that a good majority of these will be used by gangbanging ghetto rats to make drug deals

You do know that the gang banger ghetto rats don't use Obama phones to make their drugs deals don't you? They use their drug money to buy those $20 walmart phones that are pretty disposable. Also, in this day and age nobody talks on the phone anymore. Even if they did, 70 minutes would not be enough. It's all about texting, and I am not aware that "Obama phones" allow you to send text messages. Does anybody actually live around "gang banging ghetto rats"? If you did you would know that their gang banging drug money is used to pay for their groceries and tvs and cars. They do use government housing or live in housing projects though.

i actually know a few people that use their free phones to make drug deals. and most of them dont buy their groceries like you say, most use foodstamps
