Question Saiga conversion help

Hi all,

This is my first attempt at replacing a factory trigger. I watched the video on converting a Saiga at Saiga Pistol Grip Conversion on Vimeo and am doing the same thing... but on my Saiga 308 the two rear pins by the trigger that they drill near the beginning I don't have; my trigger is a longer, 1-piece design (i.e. there is no wishbone trigger linkage; the whole trigger is just one piece).

So I skipped ahead to where they punch out the forward pins (i.e. the axles for the hammer and trigger) using the punch included in the cleaning kit. Mine didn't come with a cleaning kit but I have a punch that is 1/16" at the tip... but the pins didn't just punch out; in fact for the life of me I can't make them budge. I'm pretty sure the problem is not that I'm just weak.

So that's where I'm stuck. Anybody have any ideas?? Much thanks...
