possible ca style ammo registration

I just joined a 1911 group on facebook and found this.

have any of you heard about it? is it old news? i looks like it's a group pushing for micro stamping.


Legislation

if any one has any laymans info that would be great. I looked at some of the bills but not being a lawyer none of it made sense.

I first heard about this a while ago! As far as I know, nothing came of it. I don't know if they are still trying, though.

With costs expected to be astronomical, NO state has signed onto this boondoggle - they couldn't afford to fund such nonsense. It is essentially an attempt by the company pushing this 'technology' (vaporware now, never proven to work) to reap huge financial reward for a type of gun-control.
Currently it's political suicide - but may rear it's ugly head in future.
