seems to me that for that price you can buy one that comes with a rifle pre-installed.

No kidding! My 1938 Tula 91/30 only cost $69.95, and it goes BOOM! That stock set is essentially a club, for twice the price?

I found that first while searching for a replacement-stock-stock (since I'm bastardizing the one I have) and was curious if they're "that rare"... I've since been browsing surplus sites and found this one...isn't it pretty much the same thing as the one on ebay?

Stock VG-EXC HEX, w/Handguard Russian M91/30 Screw in Esc. - $69.00 : Buymilsurp.com, Your source for military surplus.

My 1937 Tula 91/30 was $90 from my gunsmith. I bought a couple more Izzys for 70 bucks + shipping.
