Just because I can hit targets at 600 yards with a pistol everyone else jumps on the bandwagon and claims they can too. Makes me mad
BB how do you like your .12 gauge, I love mine!
But to be serious I work with a guy that makes outlandish claims we started calling him Pinocchio!

Maybe some people don't know the difference between yards, feet, and inches.

With regards to claiming to be any sort of SF, the 'real deal' take a dim view of pretenders, and there are websites to check to see if a person was what he says he was. There was some legislation made awhile back to take legal action against these idiots - don't know if that made it into law.
I'm more than happy to say in my ten years in service, I NEVER fired a shot in anger. Never served in SF. I did get to carry a .45 on the Security Force on board ship.
I consider myself a pretty fair shot - but at 600 yards - I can't even SEE the target! Hehehe.......

I believe there are some really fine shots that are members on here. They usually aren't the ones posting about it tho.The very biggest lie I have seen about Vietnam is a draft dodger named Stalone that went to Switzerland until the war was over, came back, got in the movies as "RAMBO",made millions, and everyone loved him,I guess. ,,,sam.

As long as we are gonna bring up pet peeves, how about when the first three replies to an OP copy the nine paras of the OP into their reply, roflmao ??

So, if I'm reading this correctly, most of you shoot buildings of one type or another. Hmmm, wonder how much a taxidermist charges to mount a barn?

Gotta be careful and not get off topic, I hate it when that happens.
