Things learned today

Well I learned a few things while elk hunting today.
1. While a .270 Win shooting 140 gr Partitions isn't necessary to kill a rabbit it works really well.
2. It only snows when you get out of the truck and stops just before you get back to it.
3. And the most important of all....I should have bought a wolf tag.

And on the bright side it didn't cost you any $$. Usually when I learn something from experience it cost me in dollars or tylenol.

Naw...Carry a Used Large Dog collar and long leash with you...When you shoot a Wolf put the collar on and carry it back to the truck crying..."Why did he shoot My Dog?"...

I was thinking that but this bugger had a GPS collar on him, I figured more wolves would die if collared wolves didn't start turning up with big holes in them.

Well I learned a few more things elk hunting today

4. When you see a bull and it is only 200 yards from where you parked, it is a spike and can't shoot it.
5. See #2
6. You see more elk when you have a chest cold and are hacking up lung butter than when you are healthy.
