I buy my first 91/30, then a couple weeks later (two days ago) I mostly-impulse buy a second 91/30..now I want an m39...
So I'm ready to drop some cash on an unissued m39 (I want a new bore...). I'm probably going to pick one up from Pat Burns. I see he has a few '60's era models for sale...Are these pretty much the same, quality-wise as the 40's Sako/VKT/"B" models?
You can not go wrong with Pat Burns. SHE has some great rifles and stands behind what she sells. I have bought from her and would buy from her again in a heartbeat.
Hard to say which to pick up. I have a B barrel and the bore looks pristine.

Definetely what tex siad. I have two M-39's that I purchased from Pat Burns. One to keep original and a beater to play with. They are definetely good deals in my opinion and Pat is a straigh shooter. Her descriptions of the rifles are spot on and you will get exactly what you payed for. She has some really nice stuff.
A beat up post war stock that the varnish finish has turmed to goo on and the barrel is counterbored. The magazine number does'nt match either. Compared to the other rifle which is a Sako with a beautifull wartime tiger stripped stock that has no major dents or dings and a barrel that has not been counterbored that has very strong rifling and is all number matching.
I've heard nothing but great things about Her (thanks for the clarification). I guess I'm just trying to figure out if there are any years of m39's to stay away from...Doesn't sound like there is... I see a nice 44 VKT on her site right now...good price.
