Primers .022 out of pocket ?

I hope I explain this without being confusing. I primed 50 45LC cases. Looked at all 50 and found 3 had been set a fuzz too deep. Thinking they may not fire I decided to find out. Put thoses 3 in the colt and they all did snap. BUT each primer had come out of the pocket .022. Did this happen because the cases had no powder and bullet ? No pressure to move the case back ? The cases are once fired, by me and the primers are Federal #150 large pistol. I need to understand what happened before I continue.

If you only have a primer and not a loaded round the primer comes back out of the pocket but has no pressure in the case to push the case back and push the primer back in the pocket. That is perfectly normal. ,,,sam.
