| ... might start seeing them at larger assemblies, I agree. I'm curious to see how the Liberal Media spins the political correctness that that turned fatal ... as I'm sure nobody acted against this guy for fear being labeled a racist ...
... I'm curious to see how this will impact the entire DOD ... ?

I don't think it will be good. Even the Army higher ups are not willing to call it for what it is.

... it is what it is, a terrorist attack perpetrated by a radical Muslim, period ... end of story. More and more is coming out about his attempted contact with Al Qaeda as well as his desire to further the 'Jihad' against Americans. According to the news this morning, he was trying to get out of the Army. Wonder why he wasn't allowed? Who coddled and made excuses for him?
... it will be interesting to see how this affects other Muslims within the DOD. As the saying goes 'not all Muslims are radicals, but all radicals are Muslims'. Not 100% my personal belief ... but it's pretty close.
... this event has simply furthered my feeling of betrayal from some in the Govt. as well as from the 'Major'. We're not even safe at home and on our own bases in this politically correct society... this has had repercussions on military installations across this country whether active duty, guard or reserve. Eyes were opened ...

Larry O | Yup,I don't think any one in their right mind would be thinking about race at a time like that, however, there may be a few that have race and such foremost on their minds.

Fedupon...Thank you for your vivid first hand description of the "Ft Hood shooting." Your personal involvement, along with your excellent skills of communication made this report one that the media should post around the world.
You are a genuine hero, too! You could have left the scene at the first opportunity for safety, but stayed to assist distracting the perp, as well as signaling to the cops that he was reloading so they could advance to finalize his capture. My hat is off to you. I hope that you get recognized by your superiors for this valient show of bravery.

Watching it now.
And Fedupon, truly glad you are alright, physically anyways. I'm sure this had to do something to anyone who saw it and or was a part of it in in another way.
Thank you for both your sacrifices and your service and for doing what you could when your fellow soldiers were in need. I'm sure these qualities in and from you will be NO different on the battlefield.
Thank you for your account of what transpired on this horrible and tragic day at Ft. Hood.

| ... seems MSNBC is blaming the military for his actions, not the man himself. Typical ... must deny it had anything to do with political correctness.

WHO promoted this piece of crap to Major ?? This is the question you must be asking yourself !! Who signed off that this guy graduated from Walter Reed and was allowed to have access to our most wounded soldiers ?? Even after he proclaimed an allegiance to the "Jihaad" Are you kidding me ?? Don't be fools !! They all passed him up because his bosses were afraid to target him as a fundamental Muslim !! We can't possibly pull the race card !! Shame on the Army !! Hopefully, this will change the way we do business

Steve, although this should be an eye-opener for the military, the unfortunate truth will probably be some dog and pony b.s. rule changes that will equate to business as usual.

Another news story about the fort Hood Massacre. More details are coming out as time goes on. Very high corelation with the OP's eyewitness report. www.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts980
" Ft. Hood hero story changes " - Yahoo! News.
Looks like one DoD cop stopped the killing even though she had been hit repeatly. Then another DOD LEO dropped the murdering traitor as he was trying to re-load. At least one shot prolly went in all the way to his spine.

On the way.
ETA:
Run a Yahoo web search for:
Fort Hood Hero Story changes
( No quotation marks).
My net-fu is pretty weak and Yahoo ( in it's infinite wisdumb ) just force-fed me the new edition of their homepage.
