Pheasant huntin

The two pictures with the bird ( the posed ones) are of my 10 year old male as is the one running at me. The one on the retrieve is my rather small female and her three stop retrieve. (She had to keep spitting out feathers.) I could not get her to sit still for the posed photos. I have been shooting with kind of a stacked load in my benelli. I start off with steel #4 then follow up with two Heavi-shot #4 because the steel loses velocity so quick. Even though both dogs work close I still get some long wild flushes.

Man this is great!......Thanks a lot for posting those fine birds.....
I love the liver head tick shorthair. The dog is a fine example of some of mine from years ago. There is not many finer dogs...I have had three and they were excellent hunters. Babe, my first female was a purchase from a friend that turned me towards the shorthair group. His name is Germo a big polish fella that is still into the fine breed.
Fiserheimer is the blood line and him and Mel Fisher from Pennsylvania have many
awards in this breed, i am so lucky to have met and become great friends with Bill Jermoloski..."Germo" the two guys are legends to me in their time...

That also is a nice shotty and i thank you a second time for making an old fella happy
this morning.....Good luck on your next hunt and post everything that you can.."Please"

God Bless...........Earl
