I'm sorry, but I think there are other areas where cuts can be made and to save money? I think releasing 1000 inmates and putting the public at even more risk is ignorant and Quinn is yet another politician that just doesn't get it!

Why not cut back on the benefits inmates get? For starters, giving them the H1N1 vaccine, ahead of and in front of senior citizens. My mom told me today she heard that if you were 64 or older you weren't entitled or allowed to get it or some crap like that?
I can't confirm or disprove that, but I don't doubt it. And I tell ya' what, there's about a sign of things to come with government run healthcare!
Maybe instead of releasing 1000 inmates, take a pay cut yourself and force others in your admin. to do the same; rather then give yourselves a budget increase or raise as they usually do? Maybe go through and make other budget cuts that I'm sure are there. Just requires one to look and have the marbles to do what is right.
Maybe lower the state taxes, giving the citizens of the state of Illinois more money and then they'll spend it, thus bringing more money in via taxes, which it will even though the rate was lowered? Reaganomics 101. But then they'd only squander it and piss it away on stuff they don't need!
I tell ya, I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL THE MID-TERM ELECTIONS IN 2010!!!
