Crimson Trace Front Activation or Dual Side

Gonna get a set of Crimson Trace grips for my Officer sized 1911. What are the pros and cons of the different activation types?

Can't really answer the pros and cons between the two, but I can say, as its all and what I've ever had and have, but I prefer the front activation switch.

I have one on my S&W SW1911PD commander 1911. Easy to operate as part of your grip and the grip.

If they were more affordable I'd get a set, but as it stands they cost half as much as my gun.

I have a front activated one. I don't want one I have to stop and turn on because you never know when you will need it or if you will have time to turn it on. I have one on my carry gun. Only drawback I see is that sometimes you don't need it on, but when shooting at targets, it still shows up in the daytime light. And actually, I use the sites on the gun more than the trace. I don't know how long the batteries last, so that could be an issue. I guess I need to get mine out and make sure it still works.
