Ramline model 70/795 Lockarm Stock

That's the critter in question that I just recieved from Numrich, that fits Marlin 70's, 70-HC & the 795/995's.

Ok, this is a NON-folding stock...although it looks like it oughta fold.
It does wiggle a wee bit at the joint.

ANYONE have any experience with these at all?

There looks to be some sort of a plastic block that keeps the stock from being a Folding Stock...

I'm just not sure whether or not to dig the block out, or push the pin(?) out and see if it separates with ease??

I'm hoping someone else has monkeyed with these before I go digging into it
Granted, they're only $24.25 at Numrich...but I prefer not to break it right after I bought it

Found this blurb on one of Ram-Line's old pages

Quote:
GENERAL: These stocks used to be the old Ram-Line folding stock but when the crime bill passed in Sept. of 1994 we pinned them.
