Sir,
I noticed the posting and just stopped in to add some additional information.
While the club is new many enhancements to the membership offerings are underway.
A club newsletter is in the works and should be avalible to members sometime in January.
The information will include some technical data, stories of decorated veterans, photos and a host of other information.
We want the newsletter to be a sample of all the membership not just technical data, articles about a rifle etc.
Members are welcome and encouraged to submit articles for review.
The Board of Directors has been discussing many new and exciting offerings for the members.
The club is the process of putting together Fun shoots, Postal Matches, CMP and NRA sanctioned events through out the county with the assistance of key members.
While the name of the club sounds like we are a group of collectors, the club is much much more.
The club is open to all members and honestly believes that sharing information is the key.
The club exist for the members. Since none of us profit in any way from the club every bit of the members fees will be and has been used to support the club activities.
As stated the club has met the CMP requirements for affiliation. Additionally we are affiliated with the NRA.
We want to be different than the other clubs.
Also as a point of clarification. One of the many articles in the newsletter is by Mr Ricca, but not written specifically for the M1CC. Bill has published and/ or written many articles throughout the years. Bill has allowed the club (me) access and use of some articles.
Mr. Ricca is a wealth of informtion and has been very helpful to me in obtaining information relating to the history of the Garand and Carbine. He is well known and respected in the collecting community. It is always a pleasure talking to him about these fine rifles.
In days of not knowing who you can trust to get a square deal, Bill is one of the few good guys left in the parts supply business. Each part is exactly as described.
Just wanted to add a point of clarity.
