I would bet good money that I could build a kit better then that for under 1,000$ the most expensive part would be the MREs. Who the heck needs 140 lightsticks?

p.s. They didn't include a gun!? For that kind of money, they should have thrown in 2 SKSs and about 1,000 rounds of ammo IMO.

That's not what I would call an adequate survival kit for 4 people for 30 days - at least, not unless they throw in a deuce-and-a-half to haul it around with, to say nothing of a decent first aid kit, vitamins, some Mylar survival blankets, a one-man hikers cooking kit, at least a modicum of web gear and at least a couple of tough rifles on the order of the SKS or a Hi-Point Model 995, and a 50-caliber can full of ammo on strippers or in magazines for them. For what they are charging, you could build one helluva bug-in kit that's better than that!

why all the lightsticks, you can get a 12 volt flexible solar panel to re- charge flashlight batteries that will last longer than 140 lightsticks. go to Radio control hobbie shops and you can get top of the line rechargeable batteries that last 4-5 times longer than copper tops on a single charge.

If I had that kind of money to spend, I would not need their kit.

In a SURVIVAL situation I sure will be glad I had the * Two, five gallon camper's showers. I just would not be able ot live for 30 days without a shower.
