no4 mk1 value

I have a no4 mk1 from 1946 in good shape, i unfortunately cut the bottom forearm part of the stock a used it to hunt bear for a few years. I am now thinking or getting rid of it i have the other pieces for the stock besides the one i cut to return to original. What is this thing worth?

That's a question that does not have an answer. At least not one you want to hear. It's worth whatever "someone" will pay. While the stock can be replaced, if that scope is drilled, it is now a sportered rifle, no going back. To a collector, that makes it worth a few bucks as a shooter. Go to gunbroker.com and see what similiar rifles are selling for. Be sure you only consider what actually sold. Good luck.

It appears you drilled and tapped the receiver for the scope mount. That has eliminated any potential collectability. A sporterized Enfield goes in the neighborhood of $100-150 depending on the value of the scope.

It is not drilled and tapped its a B square scope mount that dose not require it. i have the original stuff but i have to pick up a new lower forearm stock would be the only piece. I still have the mount i would sell with the gun, but that cheap tasco scope is now on my 22mag. I figured in full military spec it would go for $125-$175 like was said depending on who wanted it.

You should be able to get that price even as is. Seems like it could be easily restored back to original.

Hello

I paid $100 (U.S.) for my first Lee-Enfield Rifle, a Savage No.4 Mk.I*, which had been "sporterised" (I got it back to what it should look like), from a shop in Anchorage in 2000.

I bought my BSA No.4 Mk.I a week ago from a friend at work for $150 (U.S.), it was in complete original condition.

I bought my BSA No.1 Mk.III for $75 (U.S.) about three years ago, it had been "sporterised" as well, but was easy to get back to normal.

Hope that helps a bit.
Mark

They had two sporters at my LGD.
I bought the No 4 mk1 priced at $150.
The other was a No3 with a montecarlo stock and scope for $190.
