Exclamation Nidal Hasan's rampage might have been much worse

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I wasn't really paying attention to this disgusting story that much. But indeed, the shooter was stopped cold by a woman who got hit 3 times and kept going The Ft. Hood Hero: Who is Kimberly Munley? - Yahoo! News So do you think he would have killed more people if he hadn't been stopped like this?

I will post before i have read that article but the latest news, including an eye witness report posted here, suggests that while she did shoot at the perpetrator she was not the one who brought him down. She was taken out of the fight with 3 shots before he fell.

Oh, I didn't know that. But either way, it was reported that the first responders took the Virginia lessons into consideration. They didn't wait for backup as they did back then.

Good point Mission Striker. Lotta LEO training any more concerns the "active shooter". In the past the doctrine was show up, secure the perimeter, wait for swat. It was a disaster at Columbine and really put that kind of thinking under a microscope and it was found wanting.

I'd like to point out that it's BETTER if the world thinks a woman took him out.

Embarrasses the heck out of the Muslims who wish to do such things.

I heard yesterday that she DIDN'T shoot him. I heard that a male officer shot him. I'll look into it.

There seems to be some debate in Law Enforcement circles about exactly how to respond to "active shooter" situations. Israel calls them active killers, due to the dirtbags even using a backhoe, axes and other things to kill Jews with. On one side, some say to wait for back up. Rushing in right away without waiting or knowing what is going on, could get you killed up front and right away. You are no good then. Extra numbers on your side is always good, especially those with guns. On the other side, some say rush right in. You are there to protect and save if possible. You could loose your life on a car stop every time that you make one. You will save lives by, at the very least, drawing the attention away from innocent victims and forcing the focus on defense from the police. If the shooter is worried about you, then he won't shoot the "sheep". My mindset is with the second argument. Save lives as soon as possible. Just my opinion

Thumbs up

Teamwork.
The murdering stopped when she engaged the killer and her partner put him on the ground.
She took three hits during the fight.
