Calico?

Anyone have any thoughts on the Calico 9mm pistols or carbines. 100 rounds with storage that doesn't stress the spring seems cool. 100 rounds of anything ought to make a good impression. They looks awfully funky/clunky.

What's the quality of workmanship/durability/reliability like? How are they to shoot?

I'm not interested in "gimmicky" junk, but if it's a well-made, reliable, accurate firearm I might be persuaded.

There are some calico owners on here. Maybe some of them will give you their assessment and a range report.

Well, the .22lr line is AWESOME!! LUV mine
More precise than Ruger 10/22's and a heck of a lot more ammo capacity with those 100-round mags

While I've got a 9mm Liberty pistol, I've not tried out the carbine...but it's on the To Buy List.
Again, 100-rounds makes my Tec-9 look like a second-class citizen, and the Calico is a
WHOLE lot more reliable than the Tec-9.

Sorry it took me so long to get around to this one, dunno how I missed it...

Nice toy.
If you can afford to shoot it.
Didn't know they still make them??

My old dept. had a few of them. (seized guns)
That we used to play with.
Biggest problem seemed like, the weight distribution on the 9mm.
Remember loading the magazine. (and loading)
Those models you had to crank the mag, something like 25 times..

I don't think they were made, for any precision shooting.
As the rear sight is molded into the magazine.
And different magazines mean different sight pictures.

But they were fun to shoot.
Especially I didn't pay for the ammo.
