this may not be a good idea tho.....cuz then I'm going to want another one.... | I'm with deadzero on this one.. The last rifle that was on my desired list was a Ruger #1 in .270.. I found one in 30-06, which is close enough.. Wanted one since a buddy/co-worker of my Dad's had one when I was 15..
One of my other desired rifle was a Mossberg 152, with the wood (not plastic) front fold down handle.. I found one last year.. I've wanted one since I was a little kid, as my Uncle/God Father had one with a Mossberg scope on it. Actually, he still has it..
I mentioned to him about a year ago that he cost me $130, at which my Aunt went balistic, trying to figure out why they'd owe me money?? I told them that I'd wanted a Mossberg 152 like my Uncles for almost 40 years, because I thought it was so cool that the front of the gun flips down.. I'd finally found one and I blamed them for my desire for this rifle. My Aunt signed in relief that they didn't actually owe me money (she's always looked between two pennies to see if another was between them) and my Uncle was just about in tears because I'd remembered that rifle after all these years and wanted one so I could be like "Ole Uncle Dudly"
The man's now in his late 70's and I have a hunch that someday I'll be given his old Mossberg .22.. If not, I'll still never forget the look on his face when I told him that I'd found one just like his.. The proud beamed from his face like a beacon!!
And the only other rifle I've desired is my Dad's JC Higgins bolt action .22.. It's a Marlin rifle, and he got it as a Christmas gift when he was 12, and the rifle was used at that time.. He gave it to me a few years ago.. I cleaned it, oiled it, and it's resting in the back of my safe, next to a few other memorable guns.

any gun ever made? id take the pistol that hitler commited suicide with. if i could have anygun real or not? id build a bolt action rifle with a 30in bbl, oliveroot manlicher stock with real ivory inlays carved with my initials on both sides with room for my future sons initials and room for his childs initials. and i want the ivory to be set into a gold bezel. i would love to have something chambered in a cartridge of my own creation something like 15x108mm mullins. i want a bipod that would fit into the carved out grooves on the stock. i wasnt a gas piston recoil reducing butt pad. i wasnt a scope 20-60x 100 and a shorter range scope something like 3-15x 40.

Keeping true to Springfield Armory’s long history of producing quality firearms, the Springfield M25 Whitefeather long-range tactical rifle is a tribute to the late Sgt. The Springfield M25 Whitefeather rifle features: -
7.62 NATO (.308 win)
Barrel Length: 22”
Total Length: 46”
Weight: 12.75lbs.
Sights: Picatinny Rail – Optics only
Trigger: 2-stage military, 5 to 6lbs.
Magazine Capacity: 10-round Box Magazine
- Black fiberglass stock
The Springfield M25 Whitefeather rifle has all the features of the Springfield M1A Super Match, but with added extras such as a pillar-bedded rear-lugged receiver, adjustable McMillian stock, scope mount, low-profile custom muzzle brake/stabilizer, and proprietary trigger group. With features like these on a quality long-range rifle, you can’t go wrong with the Springfield M1A Whitefeather.
About $1500.00

If I could have one rifle it would be the 7mm Spanish mauser that my Dad hunted with as a kid and young man. One day, my brother goes, "Hey, Dad can I have your rifle? " My dad gave it to him. I'd never of thought of just up and asking for it, even though I had wanted it for years.

I attained my dream rifle which is a Ruger Hawkeye boltaction with Black synthectic stock / stainless barrel and action.
It's acurate. I shot a deer for the first time with this rifle opening morning of deer season, which was yesterday.
Though it's not the caliber I first wanted, it proved itself yesterday in 308 caliber...A.H
