new ruger bisley vaquero

can this gun hold the modrn hot rounds that it would take to bring down deer and hogs???

A few years ago, I had a .44 mag Vaquero and fired the hot loads with it. Didn't seem to have a problem. It handled the ammo fine. Just my experience.

NO HOT LOADS!

The 'New Vaquero' is a smaller frame than the original 'Vaquero' and well not like 'Ruger Only' loads. They are two different revolvers.

I think I would opt for the Bisley in the standard Black Hawk form, it has a heavier topstrap and much superior sights. A friend has one in 45 Colt and shoots a very hot load of W 296 behind a 300 gr hard cast bullet.I would not hesitate to shoot a deer with it. We carry them for Grizzly protection around here.
