SW99 disappointment

I'm so upset. I bought a new SW99. During my examination I found the front sight to be loose. I took it to the range and it shot a full two inches too low. I figured maybe the loose sight had something to do with it. So I used my front sight tool that came with me wheeler kit and boom! The nut broke off when I tried to loosen the it. Boy am I fuming. My guess is someone at the gun store swaqpped front sightposts and mucked it up. I hope Smith helps me.

Package it up and ship it. S&W will do you right. When you get it back, shoot it, and let a competent gunsmith "fluff and buff" it

I agree, I have had but one experience with the S&W service department, and it was very positive. They will get it put back together in no time.

Just a side question, what was your decision process for choosing the S&W99 model as opposed to the Sigma or M&P?

They have agreed to fix it and are sending me a FedEx shipping label. Very positive so far. I was always fascinated with the Walther P99 but couldn't afford one. My dept recently switched to .40 Sig Sauers. I carry a P226 for work. Best gun ever in my humble opinion. I wanted a polymer framed semi auto in .40 cal for my own and the SW99 was the most for my money. It came with night sights and at $389 I couldn't pass it up. My brother bought the same model with me. His shoots straight of course,,ha!
