US Remington Model 03-A3 Serial: 34064XX

On dialup at the moment, will edit with pics by early as tomorrow. Just got it tonight and haven't been able to find much hard info on it(except for the origin story). If anyone can tell me the year/date by serial, i'd appreciate it. it's got the sloped front site and flip-up barrel mount rear site, both sites having the perpendicular reversed dovetails for adjustment/attachment-detachment. The perpendicular dovetail for the rear scope mount is still in place and the alignment marks are still visible, overall it is in VG to Exc condition. It was sporterized back in the 50's, but easily reversible with stock replacement(sporter stock installed right now). Also, i notice alot of 03-a3's have a polished bolt with blued receiver and such, but this one has blued everything, including bolt; didn't know if that was regular.

Wait until I go down and find my M1903s. Two are USMC rifles.

Thumbs up

All the above guns are making me drool!

Since I'm at a public library right now using their computer and don't have access to my pics. I'll post a pic of my 03A3 later. There's some mighty good looking military guns posted above. Every collector needs at least one or more of these in their vault. And...they make excellent home security weapons if the need should ever arise, too.
