I found it fascinating that Obama told the Chinese leadership American and China "bear the burden of leadership".

This is the exact phrase used for so many years by the Christian Democrats in Italy to explain the "mess" of Italy while saying they are just doing what they can under the "burden of leadership".

Of course, one year an election came along and the Christian Democrats found themselves in many areas relieved from the "burden of leadership".

There are such a thing as "Christian Democrats"? I thought the prevailing attitude was that the Democrats were either Muslim or Godless.
