A few pictures.....

Just a few pictures where I hunt the Grouse and the Pheasants.
It really is a beautiful place to hunt. I would go deer hunting here but the drag would be about three miles no vehicles are allowed. Saturday I saw 6 grouse three squirrels three does and one nice 8 point buck. I had hunted and walked all day from 7:00 to around 3:30…I was not going to go this day and thought of what i might miss and as you can see i would have missed a lot,,,,,,,,
Friday i was there also and missed two turkey, they were long shots but definitely possible..
Well enjoy the pictures as i will go Tuesday morning again to enjoy the outdoors..

Sure wished we lived closer and I'd suggest we go hunting together...

...'cause grouse and pheasant are two of my most favorite wild dinner options, for birds.

Thanks for sharing...

...and, I'd share pix of where I'm hunting this year for foul, chickens and turkeys, but it'd just be a pix of our back yard barn and the stalls where the birds are housed.

Nice heres my "stompin grounds" for deer in Manitoba. Been unseasonably warm and no snow except for a blast that melted already.

Beautiful, Earl.

It looks just like my hunting grounds, actually. Kentucky isn't too far away, after all, and we're both stuck on the same mountain range.

Well Blue part of me enjoys the not freezing but snow does make the hunt easier. But as I have been saying this is Manitoba warm and sunny one day a foot of snow and freezing the next. This is what we had a month ago

And if you look at the areas I hunt you can see why I have both a Model 94 30-30 and a Tikka 270WSM!

Beautifull PA!!! Years ago I hunted small game with my uncle and cousin in the Conyngham,(SP), Valley, Luzerne Co,just outside Hazelton. I believe.. We filled our game pouches with pheasant, squirrel, and my favorite, cottontails... Those were the days to remember.. Thanks for the pix....

I'm with you Earl I like seeing pics of other peoples hunting areas! Funny thing is with the unusally warm temps here lately I have a taste of what hunting would be like farther south. Now we use Celsius up here but at the moment it is 14 C or 57 F. The average daytime low is -3 C or 26 F. Two years ago it was very cold the warmest part of the day with the windchill was -38 C or -36 F. So one one hand wish there was snow to see tracks etc, but sure nice to hunt and not have to prepare for arctic like conditions. Have only needed to wear a toque once so far. So just relaxing at the moment hunted yesterday and may go out tomorrow but work Friday have Saturday off work Sunday and Monday Nights then off for 7 days. So starting Saturday morning it will be down to business.
