| Howdy, Like we all didn't know this was happening....... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mullah Raines at Times Makes Up News To Help Desperate Democrats January 21, 2003 Folks, I have to tell you, this New York Times headline cracks me up: "Conservative Positions by Bush Could Cost Votes From Center, Moderates Warn" This is the biggest bunch of BS I've seen. This is Howell Raines at the New York Times making up the news. He has chosen to try help his guys, the Democrats, by portraying some kind of meltdown in the Republican Party where the moderates are concerned. This is so much Barbra Streisand! What he ought to do is make fun of his own guys, the way we do here at the EIB Network, to get them to shape up, because they're in trouble. Trying to give them the false sense of security that the Republicans are cracking up is the wrong thing to do. We rolled a montage of these Democrats out in Iowa, pleading, moaning and whining all for votes in the Iowa caucuses a year from now. It's just fabulous to listen to these people speak and then see what the New York Times writes. There's really nothing positive to say about the Democrats, so if you were Howell Raines and you're the house organ to the Democratic Party, what would you do? Well, you'd make up some cockamamie story about how the Republicans are falling apart because the moderates are warning the Bush wing that you better not forget about us. That's absurd. The Democrats are cracking up, folks. They haven't even locked up their base yet, so they're pandering to the left. Their base is made up of those kooks who were marching over the weekend – and National Review Online did a great piece on what a bunch of kooks these people really are. The Democrats are tilting leftward to embrace their kooks – and it's exactly the wrong strategy for them. They're going so far left that Gary Hartpence thinks he's the best candidate! The more I think about it, the more I laugh. Howell Raines is trying to play a mind game here with made up news to help these pathetic people out. Listen to Rush... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
