is Mounting block (front trunion) on wasr 10 us made?
i got my wasr a few months back and iam a little lost on the 922r sh*t...
also i wanted to know is the piston us made. i have bought a euro mag, and iam not sure if it is legal to use it....if it is not how can i make it legal.
the gun has romainan furniture, and i guess the pistol grip is romainan to???
US made stuff will be well and visibly marked as such. Unless you can see the words "made in the USA" on the trunnion or any other part you should consider it Romanian. If your rifle came with a manual then it might list the US made parts; mine did at least.
As purchased, your rifle should already be 922r compliant. Assuming it came with a US made magazine (probably Pro Mag or Tapco brand) then your rifle is only compliant when you use US made magazines. US magazines are considered 3 compliance parts (magazine body, floorplate, and follower). If you replace 3 imported parts with 3 US parts then you can use all the euro mags your heart desires.
An easy way to get those three parts is to replace the buttstock, pistol grip, and forestock parts with US bits. I wouldn't mess with replacing the gas piston unless you absolutely had to.
all that i see on my gas piston is a C does that stand for century if so wouldnt it be made in the usa? all i see on my front truion is a 2 stamped on the left side. i really want to use steel mags.
WHEN IN DOUBT just slap some extra US made furniture on it.
Trunnions should NEVER be US made, that's the hardest part to change, they'll change everything else first.
I'm also pretty sure that the magazine isn't counted as a compliant part anyway, it's not PART of the gun. WASR's come with Romanian mags anyway, Norinco's with Chinese, so on so forth.
Ok, so is it ileageal to posess a rifle with more than 10 of these componants or is it ileagel to sell se rifle with more than 10 of these componants? Is having euro mags and a 922r compliant rifle constitute being over the limit if the magazine is not attached to the rifle?

from what i understand you must have atleast 6 US made parts/ no more than 10 foreign parts. the mag counts as 3 of them. dont matter if you got it or you sell it, it must have 6 US made parts
if the parts would fit u can take parts out of an US mag and install them in a euro mag, that could gain you 2 US made parts

This is incorrect.
The magazine body, the magazine follower and the magazine baseplate/floorplate all count in the "16 parts" on an AK. That means if you have a 100% US-made magazine, you only need three parts on your AK that are otherwise US-made, as you may have no more than 10 foreign-made parts.
This is, of course, mentioned in the Sticky thread on this forum:

To directly answer this question: No.
The law says you can't have more than 10 foreign-made parts... therefore, if there is no magazine attached, that's three parts on the list that aren't involved in counting for 922(r)... thus, the rifle, without any magazine installed (as I mentioned in my prior post) must only have 3 US-made parts on the list to be compliant.
