Of course you realize that you will have to let us all know how it turns out! Good luck!

This might just be fun. | I think you should start off holding the gun upside down, and watch his face. Of course you need to let him off the hook real fast, but still starting with a laugh is a relaxer, and lets face it....laughing is just plain good.
(that is a nice 1911 in your pic)

Good Luck Shooter Girl.
If it helps just think of it as a fun day at the range not a date.
And give him hell at the range, anyone who wants to "teach you how to shoot" without knowing you deserves it. |

(that is a nice 1911 in your pic) | LOL. That may be funny. It was one of my late husband's project guns. Very nice, but dirt ugly compared to many out there.

You should act like you dont know a thing about them. Then blast the crap out of the 10 ring and watch his face.

Best of luck to ya, girl! Getting back in the saddle is hard-sometimes it's easier to just hide from reality. I hope you both have a great time.

It went very well. Good food, and some range time. Great funny handsome guy. But he can't shoot very well and carries a 9mm.

Glad it went well! Teach him to shoot! Could be fun.
When my mom and dad first met they went shooting one day. My mom out shot my dad so bad that my dad started going to the range to practice. (and he was not a bad shot to begin with!) Soon he was shooting competition and got to where he could shoot as well as my mom. Mom never practiced and could still shoot as well as he could. I always chuckled at it. Mom was a natural shot. Dad had to work at it. Unfortunately, I took after my dad in that regard. LOL!!! I always wished I could find a nice woman who liked to shoot.

Maybe he was just having a bad range day? I figured it would be a bad idea to bruise his ego on the first date so I didn't shoot my best.
If we go out again I may give him a few subtle pointers.

Looks like the two of you are on the same page in a lot of ways, maybe he can support your shooting habit.
And he carries too, sounds like he knows what its about.
Good Luck!.....Tony

He seems to be a good guy, but there really isn't much you can get from the first date. Definitely a guy worth going out with again.

Red, if that's an "ugly project gun," I'd love to see one that you think is a thing of beauty.
I'm a little late to the party but I hope all turns out well for you. You ought to try a second range trip with the guy. Maybe make it interesting; the winner buys the loser dinner or something like that. Competition will put him on his mettle. It's a guy thing.

My wife out shoots me too, I think they dont think too much about other things to distract them, they just do it by instinct.
She can really knock my socks off at clay pidgeon shooting, never should have bought her her own shotgun....LOL!

Please let it be a dog, please let it be a dog, and please let it be big enough that Trapper can't eat it.

| Talk about the plot thickening! Please don't let it be one of those puppets with a crazy name that talks to him! (if he starts referring to himself by his own first name go get the project gun :-)
