my internet friends in Russia have for some time been thinking the Ukraine could be an incubator for disaster of some sort.
The Ukraine has historically been one of the world's great breadbaskets.
However, the mindless Communists and the even more mindless people
now in charge have wasted the nation in a hopeless attempt to be a world manufacturer of steel. So - lots of pollution, lots of filth, little work in public health, and so on and on and on . . . . plus steel they cannot export due to price/quality problems.
The Ukraine is now in a state of governmental economic crisis. In theory the national debt is not that high but in reality the treasury is just about empty. There is no hope they can deal with a major public health crisis. So, all this is sadly understandable.
I feel so sad for those affected and fearful for all that may happen if this spreads worldwide.
