Arrow World Famous Lube Recipes (share yours)

Black Cat
1 lb - Beeswax
12 oz - Lithium Grease (not white)
2 tbsp - Molybdenum Disulfide (mechanical grade)
2 tbsp - Carnuba Wax

Melt the Carnuba and Beeswax first, then add the Molybdenum Disulfide. After the MoDi has been thoroughly incorporated, add the Lithium grease and mix to a smooth consistency.

Substitutions: You might be able to substitute Graphite in place of Molybdenum Disulfide.

I assume you are talking bullet lube and not case lube.

^ Actually they were first referred to as rifle casings with the advent of smokeless powder.

ShellShock sorry about getting away from your question but where do you get the Molybdenum Disulfide? Also can this lube be used for tumble lubing?

Somebody needs to start

"My Lube No. 2"
1 lb. Beeswax
12 oz. Vaseline
1 tbsp Carnuba wax flakes
1 tbsp STP
Measurements approximate

Haven't used this lube a lot but it seems to work in my .44 Mag (250 gr SWC over med load of WC 820)

Midsouth*LYMAN*SUPER MOLY EXTRA-FINE POWDER 6 OZ
MidwayUSA: Moly Questions & Answers

I wouldn't molycoat rifle bullets, but I do add it to my modified Darr's lube.

Barry Darr’s Lube:

1 lb Paraffin
1 lb Vaseline
2 tablespoons STP Oil Treatment

Modified Barry Darr Lube (w/o STP):

1 lb Paraffin
1 lb Vaseline

I also use a Lee liquid alox/toilet wax/mineral spirits blend.
one part LLA,
one part melted toilet ring,
one part mineral spirits.

Your welcome. Keep in mind, if you decide to try it out, this stuff will get on everything. Think about how hard it is to keep sand out of your drawers at the beach. This stuff is worse.
