I have a 22 mag pug; don't think it makes alot of difference due to the short bbl length (I've shot the winchester sxt, dynapoint, CCI Green, finocchi, and Remington V-Max). The dyna's are the cheapest--the V-max the most expensive. You might try the V-max or the TNT; I stoke mine with a little of each.

Accuracy was better than I thought; I shot at 25yds just for fun and kept inside a 10" diameter circle when I got a handle on the POI.

It's a great gun for a BUG, or to carry when you ain't carrying.....pretty easy to slip into a pocket and takes away any excuse not to CCW anywhere you can.

I don't think there is enough barrel to build a lot of pressure before leaving the barrel. If there was a way to determine the brand with the fastest burning powder that would probably be your best bet. How would you do that? I haven't a clue!

i know the guy was talking about one specific brand, but i can't think what it was.

he said it was a nasty little round but he didn't currently have any in. it was one with a polymer tip maybe?

Might've been this one; the Remingtons have the same tip:

New 2200 FPS .22 Mag Rimfire from Hornady « AccurateShooter.com Bulletin

Good luck !

That's a cool little gun but it can sure be dangerous because it's so small. Because the barrel is so short you might not have much more than a typical 22 lr when talking velocities. Be careful!

Good video. I'll take the 20 ga for HD.

I keep the green tip Remington in my 22 mag derringer; course it's only used as a backup to my Case pocket knife---- Har, har! Seriously, I think a 22 mag deserves more respect than it usually gets.

Neet little video, but back to topic, I have the NAA Black Widow, and have tried many different types of ammo. The best (accuracy wise) I have for mine is 40gr HP CCI Maxi MAgs. A few extra ft. lbs. more energy in a mouse gun is not nearly as important as overall accuracy. My NAA is my backup gun to my backup gun! :-)
But i trully bought it because I can carry it all day on the farm whithout feeling like it is even there. And the .22MAG CCI snake loads are life ( or limb ) savers where we live!
I would not sweat it too much. Just find a good reliable accurate load & stick with it.

yeah my buddy thinks carrying a .22 mag is absolutely stupid. even as a deep concealment or BUG. i've tried to show him just what a .22 mag will do

but then again he also bought a S&W with a mag disconnect. lol

Find a Grendel pistol and freak him out with 30-shots per mag

Nothing like unloading 30 shots of .22WMR into something real fast to give someone a reason to think again
