im in the market for a bayo, but im not trying to spend a fortune. what bayos are avalible and what bayos work with which makes of ak
To my knowledge all AK's with lugs can use any knife type bayonet. When I was looking for one I read that the AKM and bladeless AK's all use the same lugs.
I have a Bulgarian Gen 3 (black poly with sheath) that I can part with. They go for $35.00, I paid about 45 after shipping, but can let it go for $30 shipped. PM me if your interested. I have nothing to attach it to, which makes me wonder why I bothered buy the thing to begin with lol.

Unfortunately, I have to call an audible and declare this incorrect.
AK-47 and AKM Type I bayonets attach under the front sight base and the firearms that use these bayonets do not have lugs located such that a later model will attach.
I am not sure if the Type I will work on later model AK-variants, but as I personally like their long slender look over the "survival knife" look to the later model bayos, I am hoping they do.

I can post some, I will work on that when I get home tonight (which will be late I have an after hours assignment at work).
It is in "used" condition and looks like it has seen some light use. Someone had used the wire cutter at least once. THe place I bought it from said they were military surplus so it was an issued bayo. All the poly and the button for releasing the lug are present and fine. The only place to get the Gen. 3 bayonets in new condition is through KVAR.

They are 7.99 each and NO Frogs with them now at SMKW....
Actually, if you put 3 or more in the quantity field on the checkout page, update the page with the update button (and then I had to refresh, but that may be due to some script restrictions I have on my browser) it will drop the price to 6.99 per knife.
Admittedly, I don't think you could find a frog for ~$0.50, so in the end your deal is a better one for the whole package.
