If 922r didn't exist. I find most the parts I buy are US made anyhow, with exception to magazines. So I guess it is kind of irrelevant. Perhaps the 922r would of had the impact that the liberal gun grabbers were aiming for had no US companies began manufacturing parts for these bad rifles.

Funny thing, I was watching the Military Channel and about an hour ago there was a commercial for IO Inc.! They had some Army babe firing off one of their AK's and gave a whole spiel about how they produce some of the finest US made AK-47's. I thought it was funny as it was the first time I have ever seen a commercial for an AK-47, at least in this country

922r doesn't stop me from building anything. it's my states laws that throw up the roadblock on the fun-gun highway!
hey diatribes, can we shoot with the sex-bot too? a sex-bot with twin .50's would be cool!

I'd build an FN-FAL, perhaps without the carrying handle. And if I could get my hands on one of those M1928A1 parts kits that were reimported from Russia a couple of years ago, I'd get a machine shop to build me a new receiver and have myself a Thompson.

Now if I could I'd get a 100% Russian parts AKM semi -auto for the 922r question.

And if wasn't for the freeze on transferable machine guns and import bans I'd get a 100% functional Russian AK-100 and a Chinese Type 56.
