A little Range time with the Wife Yesterday

Since we are both trying to use what is left of our vacation time, the wife and I are both off this week. Yesterday (Thursday) we took the guns to the indoor range. She shot my (Smith & Wesson) 617 .22 revolver and 625 .45ACP revolver for the first time. She likes both! We (mostly her) also shot some cheapo .38's through the 686, and also the Ruger Mark II.
During the hour we was there, we shot 50 .38's (I shot 14 of them), 36 .45's (I shot 6), and around 300 rounds of .22 (I shot maybe 60).
By the time we left my thumb was sore from reloading the Ruger mags, but since it has been a year since she went to the range with me (she has shot at my parent's farm some), I was happy as a clam at high tide.

She had good groupings too, and had a good time! Afterwards I showed her the Sig Saur 1911 I like but she just said "That's nice.", which means the same as "I think you have enough guns right now so stop bothering me about wanting another gun.".

Only thing is George (worker) thought it would be funny to tell me some cute girl was looking for me again at the range. I told him he should have waited until after we shot all the ammo, but we both know better as there will never be another woman in my life. After all, I'm not stupid to do wrong against the woman that not only has kept me around for over 16 years, but has also bought me most of my guns and reloading equipment, not to count the milk bottles and Keen Kutter woodworking planes I collect!

Sounds like you had fun. I have a little green plastic device that slips on the Ruger mags to make loading them painless. I don't remember where I bought it but it's worth it's weight in gold..

I got one of them things also, but never seem to use it. Just as fast with the thumb, and usually the kid is with me and I make him load his own mags.

Awesome possum!!! glad to here you and the wife got some alone time at the range together... it great that she likes to shoot with you, but becareful if she shoots the 625 any more she will take it from you and it will become hers trust me i know i dont own an ar anymore my wife does... but all my guns are hers anyway, same as they are mine...

She told me on the ay home the 686 is still hers, but she really liked the 625, but she would let me keep it. She then reinterated the 686 was her gun and I was only borrowing it. I told her that she needed to clean it then, but her reply was I would do it to make her happy. How can I argue with logic like that?

I saw you there with a woman. I stopped on my way back from Stow to look around. I managed to get several pictures of the two of you with my phone. I thought I could use them later to increase the size of my collection at little or no cost.

I didn't think she was your wife. She was treating you too nice.

Sounds like a good time to me. Glad you enjoyed your company which is always a bonus.
When the girls go they seem to keep us all in line...LOL..so we must be good so we get more guns and stuff...What she buying ya for your next gun? Christmas is just around the corner,i have my list, but i have been bad again this year so i will be lucky iffin i get anything..ROTFL...

She has already boughe my Christmas/Birthday presents up to 2047.
She helped me pay for the 625 this year for Christmas, then bought me a K240 scrub plane for Christmas, then last week gave me a lot of $$ for a K2C plane for my collection.
All this on top of paying my range dues for the year in October.

As for the boss, I do not disagree that she is. I'm not serious enough to be in charge. According to her, she has 2 kids: one she birthed, one she married!
