We are supposed to go to my daughters house but she is 4 days over due on our second grandchild. If she doesn't have it by the 24th I think they will induce labor. She's in the Air Force and they let them stay in the hospital a little longer than they do in civilian hospitals so she may be still be in the hospital on Thanksgiving...She is going to have her hands full. Her first child is only 18 months old. We are lucky, she is stationed only about 30 miles from us...

I'm thankful for our Saviour Jesus Christ, and all He has given me - be it both good and bad.

As for T-day, I work at 0400 Friday, and the wife possibly work, so we are staying home and she is cooking a small bird.

Saturday we are going to my parent's farm and cutting trees out of the diverted acres, and the wife will skip out to visit her Mom for a bit. Since my brother's kids are ill-behaved, no guns other than my CCW I alway carry when on the road, and maybe the 44 mag to scare the deer.

We will invite two couples that are out of work over, I suggest everyone do that this season. The ones that have need to help the ones that don't. We need to thank the ONE who created, not one of his creations. I hope everybody has a fun and care free Thanksgiving. Remission is great to hear.

Thumbs up

With no close family worth speaking of, I will be enjoying Thanksgiving over at a good friend's place. He suffers from Ciliac Disease, so cannot eat anything with gluten (wheat, barley and other such products) - but his good wife has learned very well to cook gluten-free - her bread, cakes and pies are mighty good!

There are too many things that I am thankful for to list.

My sister is having her boyfriend over, and a few people from her work will be there. I will be making trash can turkey.

I am thankful that you are in remission debi and that your doing a lot better.
We will be going to the nephews house on top of Mt. Washington,Pennsylvania. This area looks over the city of Pittsburgh where one can see the whole area of town. From Point State Park where the three rivers meet to Oakland where the Pitt Panthers Football team is from. He just got married a few months back and asked me if was ok for him and the new wife to have the turkey dinner there since we have always had it out in the country for the last 10 years....What was i suppose to say to that ...LOL...This city thing is not my idea of a Thanksgiving Meal but he deserves a little respect so he has the show...I guess his other side of the family will wonder why i am concealing that day but
i will make an effort to hide the bad hardware the best that i can cause i am not going to the large city without the .45........

Every one have a great Thanksgiving Day and lets not forget a little prayer
for our men and women that will not be as fortunate as us as they serve our country away
from their loved ones....

We'll be going to our niece's for dinner and probably stop in to see my folks for a while.

There is much to be thankful for but the best is that my wife is still hanging in there with me after almost 43 years. I think the total is now 22 or 23 cardiac arrests but she hasn't had any for several years since we got her meds squared away. Oh, she's got a lot of other things wrong too but she's the toughest lady I know. Has to be to put up with me for so long.

Going to my brother's in Arkansas...should be my parents, us three brothers, our two wives, 3 nephews, 3 nieces, and 1 aunt, with 3 cousins.
We'll eat and be merry...run out to the quarry and do some shooting...then watch the Dallas game and nap.

I am thankful for another year on this earth, a roof over me, shoes under me, and food inside me.

It is great news to hear of the remission CGO! I am thankful of that as well.

Hi Debi, that is wonderful news. We are having traditional fare this year with the "normal" trimmings. Hope you and Seabee have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
