According to snopes.com, the pictures are real yet the story or description is inaccurate.

But for me, just the fact the Donkey or Mule or whatever you want to call it, kicked the chit out of and killed the mountain lion, in the way it did, is truly amazing...

So, I'll just insert the snopes link and you can look at the pictures and read the info there.

Pita says that they think the mule was acting like a real Ass. They are pursuing possible litigation through the ACLU as they are very familiar with litigation or this type. No doubt they will sue.
