Remember the man with the appliance store in New York City who used a 12-gauge to defend himself, his clerks and his property this past summer? In their tradition of writing episodes "ripped from the headlines," that righteous shoot is the basis for tonight's episode of Law & Order.
Going to be interesting to see what Dick Wolf & Co. do to the facts in the name of drama. Going to be more interesting yet to see if they turn it into an anti-gun screed, given the shotgun in that case was not registered as NYC laws require, and so far as I know the shop owner wasn't charged.
Yea, I was a fan of Law and Order, all of them. until I found out and saw they tend to have their own agenda and massage as part of the script. They're a bit anti-gun as well as they've bashed Bush and blame him for stuff just like the Dems. and the Obama admin.. But then, it is on NBC isn't it. What do ya' expect. lol
I no longer watch it/them...I want to watch a show for entertainment. Not to hear someones opinion. Especially if I don't agree with it. And it isn't just this show, there are many others. I quit watching Current TV because I began to see one sided opinions there as well. Then, once I found out Al "the liar on global warming" Gore owns or runs that station, I chose to no longer watch that either.
See, unlike Democrats and the far left nut jobs, when or if I don't like something, I simply turn the channel or turn the TV off if I disagree ir dislike something. I don't try and make it so no one can or should be able to watch or listen whatever it is or was. I state what I think and leave it at that. The way it should be. lol

Longs story short: the appliance store owner is now an accountant. The writer threw in a subplot about the building's value being about to skyrocket because of Hudson University (read: Columbia University) expanding to encompass the block the accountant owned his building in and added a plot device about a trust fund baby scheming to intimidate the accountant into selling it to him at current value. Trust fund baby sent in a team of frighteners, one of whom the accountant had brought with him when he tried to negotiate. Frighteners pull a gun and commence to beating on an assistant; accountant pulls a shotgun - two dead, one wounded. Trust fund baby gets busted for inciting a robbery; accountant is charged before a grand jury with murder by Jack McCoy. Trust fund baby cuts a deal and testifies against accountant; accountant tells his story to the grand jury. Grand jury fails to return a true bill against accountant. Up yours, Jack McCoy!
In the tag, accountant tells a reporter that the grand jury had more sense than the DA did.
Not exactly what you'd call a story that favors either the Castle Defense or the right to keep and bear arms, is it?
