I cut my cheese periodically, just to keep things in perspective.

Getting your cheese moved can "sometimes" be a good thing. EVERY time some A$$ hole has moved my cheese it turns out they were doing me a huge unintentional favor. Some of the best, most challenging, most satisfying, or just plain fun assignments I have had in my career were cause my cheese got moved.
Now.....in my personal life, looking back, it turns out that I was usually the a$$hole that moved my cheese.

Just keep in mind that we are all spiritual beings in this world having a human experience. We are all in the same boat in some ways.
I admire you for your strength and will to go on after this terrible sacrifice you and your family endured upon the alter of freedom.
God bless you in all you do!

Thank you so much. The good Lord has a plan, and I take comfort in knowing that.
As an asside, is that an albino ball in your avitar?

And you are welcome.

And you are welcome. | Cool. I haven't progressed to venomous snakes yet. How did you get that color?
For now I will stick to my boids.
Do you have any larger pictures of her?

I see a lot of my life in the previous posts. Heck, I remember when the word paradigm was new. It seems that today's managers are more interested in managing their careers instead of managing the business. If you manage the business well, the career should take care of itself. The old girl and I are starting to talk about selling the house if I don't find a job soon. I'd like to have a new hunk of cheese right now but I have to keep looking until I find it. Her health depends on it. On the plus side we had a great Thanksgiving, it was a beautiful day, we got to see our grandson this week, the Christmas tree is put together and the lights are on it, I have some good friends, and you folks are amazing. I am truly blessed and thanks to all of you.

Do you have any larger pictures of her? | It's the actual color of the Western cottonmouth. I was a biology major in college and my main studies were Herpetology and BioToxicology.
If you like pix, check out this website: VenomousReptiles.org Photo Albums
VERY cool!
Check out the snakebite photos! NOT for weak stomaches!

Dragunov, i'm gonna check those links out as well.
Let me see.
In the last 12 months;
1)my grandfather passed away.
2)split with the boyfriend of 3 years... who lives 2 doors from me. Says he wants to still hang out but seems to exclude me in a lot. When will he stop getting under my skin. Wish i could move but not an option.
3) found out my first serious boyfriend who i was with for 4 years was in jail for child molestation and that i had introduced him to one of the families he affected. I got him a job with them working out of their house... he was due to get out in august. Wish i could forget him but you can't forget your first no matter how much you would like to.
Plus things
1) got my learners permit for a motorcycle and bought my first bike.
2) got my shooters permit. bought my M44 which i love dearly.
If we look back over 5 years it gets rockier...
1) Car accident left me in chronic pain. Lives on pain killers for 18 months till i joined a gym and built up the muscles in my neck again. now why didn't anyone who looked at my case suggest it and have paid for it? Physio always felt good until 2 days later. Pilates did nothing.
2) 2 years ago i lost my 6 year old silver tabby to a stroke after battling fatty liver disease. 2 months of force feeding 6 times a day. He started eating again on his own. Lost the jaundice, then lost feeling in his tail and balance. A week later he was dead. RIP Freddy, i still miss you.
it's been a rough few years...

I used to keep "hots" and do reptile demos/shows w/Dr.George MacDuffie. It was lots of fun and always got the stupidest questions. I no longer keep hots, but I do have a real easy to keep corn snake that's 13yrs old. She's grown up with my kids and is very much part of the family.
Sometimes I miss working at the zoo as it was a lot of fun (as well as lots of work) but life goes on and I have other interests. I still keep up with the science though for the most part.
Wyld, You seem to be strait up and I hope things work out for you as you seem like a lovely gal. Best of luck to ya.

Life can be rough. Sometimes you get hard Cheddar, sometimes stinky Limburger......
But once in awhile, it comes up as yummy Mozzarella or Parmesan.
