Strange ammo problem

I am having strange problem with my M24/47.

If I use Yugo ammo it does not shoot.
If I use Hungurian ammo it always shoots.
If I put first round of Hungarian and then 4 rounds of Yugo they all shoot fine, even if Yugo rounds are the ones that misfired before.

What can it be?

Can I make firing pin stick out a little more as in Mosin Nagant rifles?

Thanks.

yugo ammo has hard primers as most have experienced. order a Wolff replacment firing pin spring. also check the end of your firing pin sometimes they may be short for whatever reason. they cannot be adjusted as with a MN.

If you are using Yugo 1950s surplus, sometimes some lots of the Yugo milsurp stuff have quite deeply recessed primers. As the firing pin isn't adjustable on a Mauser as it is a Mosin, it just depends on how deep the primer is seated when it was made. Some lots shoot well, and others won't fire at all if you sit there all day and effectively dry fire on the round the firing pin can't reach, or doesn't hit with enough force to set off the military primer. Perhaps I should consider some of the Hungarian stuff. Is that stuff lacquer coated? How is accuracy? Despite the Yugo milsurp stuff sometimes having issues, I have found that it is still quite accurate, out of my K98, and my Yugo 24/47.

Yugo is brass and accurate.
Hungarian is laquered and better looking ammo and I did not see any diffrence in accuracy, but I had only one 20 rounds box that I purchased at the show to try.
I use them as a starter in each magazine load.

A buddy and I have both had serious problems with 50's dated Yugp 8mm ammo. I ordered 300 rounds - still have a couple hundred that I will pull down for the bullets - most have dimpled primers and wouldn't fire. My buddy perservered and shot his - took three or four tries on many of them.

I refer to it as the "new UN safety ammo".

The 70's dated Yugo, however, is superb! Hard to find now, but well worth looking for.
