Imr4895 load data for 7.62x54r
I am trying to find some loading data for this powder,I've went to IMR's site and their loading date link brings me to Hodgdon's site. My problem is Hodgdon doesn't list the use of any IMR powders in their loading data
for the 7.62x54r cartridge. I need some data for 168&174 grain fmjbt.
Any help would be appreciated.

For the 168 gr. bullet...41.0 gr to 45.5 gr. of IMR4895
For the 174 gr. bullet...41.0 gr. to 44.5 gr. of IMR 4895
I personally use 44.0 gr. for both loads...they are accurate mid range loads.

For 168 grain bullets I use from 37.6 grains to 48.3 grains of H4895 or from 38.3 grains to 46.0 of IMR 4895.
For 174 grain bullets I use from 36.8 grains to 44.0 grains of H4895 or from 38.5 grains to 45.5 grains of IMR 4895

I get 1.5" 50 yard and 2.5" (open sights) with 49 grains of IMR4895 and .312" Hornady 150 grain spire points.

I don't know. 49 grains is getting pretty stiff. I would be looking at my spent primers for signs of cratering or flattening. If none, then good to go.

No problems atoll. No sticky bolt, primers fine, etc.

Then run with it. I'm sticking to 48 grains, myself.
