I see we aren't allowed to discuss the second amendment on a gun forum. No one was doing any name calling or inflamitory remarks but someone decided we were wrong and closed the thread. That seems very strange, and wierd.I guess I just don't understand what is just and fair and what is this forums way. It's very sad. ,,,sam.
Where was there any arguing or fighting?I love and respect both you and RXD45 like brothers Steve, but there was no trashing or disrespect shown.I still love and respect the one I was discussing the 2A with,I just think this time he was wrong.Ah well,it's happened before.Hell with it! ,,,sam.
Sorry SAm,
We arent going to mix the Second amendment with religion and have Members
Hammer each other for the good of the forum...we can discuss the 2nd amendment all day long as long as it remains civil...

Who said anything about religeon?Well, the 2A is kind of a religeon to me.No flaming or name calling was going on. I know of no way to disagree with someone without stating I disagree with them. Now,instead of discussing whether the 2A should be silenced,we are discussing whether members should be free to voice their opinions or be silenced.A very sad situation and rather dictitorial to boot in my opinion. Now I know how the founding fathers felt when trying to get representation for taxes with England. ,,,sam.
I just now read through this thread, and probably should have done so yesterday. I was the one who closed the thread. My reason was that I felt that the mixing of politics (2nd amendment statements) and religion, (the invoking of same) was soon going to erupt in a word war and had no chance of going anywhere in a meaningful way.
My thinking and reasoning is this, We are a gun forum, plain and simple. There are going to be conversations that get into the area of politics and how it affect us as gun owners. I think it is fair to say that the vast majority of folks here are very pro on the second amendment issue. Discussion in this area is fine, and I think good, however, when someone feels the necessity of brings religious convictions into the discussion, the forum must make a decision. If one religious point of view is to be argued, then we must listen to any and all religious points of view. This is not what this forum is about. There are many religious forums someone can join if they like. This is a gun forum.
I sent a pm to the original poster explaining my actions. He is totally free to share it with anyone here in open forum. I have no problem with that if it is what he wishes to do.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me by pm. I will respond right away.

So a decision to delete one thread and close another was made without even reading the threads.Sounds like the way congress is operating now.Never once did I mention religeon until a moderator accused me of doing it and then only to deny I used it.The coments made by Sweed Steve and others on religeon were not in my opinion, pushing religeon. The rest you can read and judge as you see it. I agree there should be rules (like you can't stand up and yell fire in a crouded theatre)but I have no desire, nor will I give up my freedom to belong to any organization. One reply to certain mod,s I made was evidently deleted too.I love my freedoms and altho I see the government trying to walk over the bill of rights and take them,I will resist as long as I last.Altho I will miss this forum I will stand up for my rights.I believe what happened this time and in the past was a desire to show authority and control of the members by the moderators.I will not become a sheeple just to belong to a forum.I believe the moderators have substantiated that is their desire by "making a decision"without reading the thread.I believe this and other times is a very childish way to show authority and feel that they are above the common members.I wish all others to enjoy the forums and partisipate even without rights of Americans.I wish the moderators the very best of everything.I am not very good on a computer so I doubt that I can find another forum and will miss this one. But if I don't,at least I will have my rights, both GOD and man given.I wish all of you the very best. ,,,sam.
Anyone who thinks, believes or acts like they can separate our unalienable rights, any one of them, from a religious belief, expression and action...
...might want to lay off the anti-God wacky weed long enough to catch a glimpse of Divine reality.
Our founding fathers unmistakably knew about, accepted and promoted religious beliefs in all they did to enumerate and put forth protections for our God given unalienable rights...
...and specifically in our right to protect ourselves, family and property and for use to rise up against a tyrannical government.
The Principles of Liberty our founding fathers used to build the founding documents of our country are plain and simple, clear and easy to understand...
...and, I'd suggest, for those who haven't done so already, that you give them a read for yourself:
I read many, many threads/posts at G&G Forums where members and member moderators decry the inappropriate policies, procedures and actions of our renegade government at all levels and in all areas...
...and then I witness in our little G&G Forums microcosm, a tiny form of government, where moderators/owner say and do the same types of infringements upon people's "members" rights and thereafter justify such because of private enterprise and their associated prerogative to do so at their will and choosing because of such.
So, it seems to be a bright display of peeve petting to me...
...right where the rubber meets the pavement.
And, this is not inflammatory, provocative or any other like manner label someone may want and try to affix to it...
...no matter how you try to slice it.
It's our bit of unfortunate reality here at G&G Forums...
...amongst all the good that we enjoy herein.

"I just now read through this thread, and probably should have done so yesterday." -Tom
"just now" and "probably should have"...
...what?!?
Reads to me me as an apparent swift and blind miscarriage of responsibility/authority as a moderator,...
...based on a perception of impropriety for mixing politics and religion?!?
I'd like to be present if/when you ever tried to use that same rational and justification before the founding fathers of our nation about their intentional mixing of politics and religion...
...and learn from their reality check dissertation on the Divine in all things, to include politics, that they would each share with you.
Just where do you think the bedrock foundation of all we are, have and do is secured...
...on some whim and wisdom of man?
Man can't be, think or act without the Divine...
...no matter what frail or seemingly well sounding and presented argument is brought forth for consideration.

The removal of the above noted thread is a clear example of misguided and swift acting people, using inaccurate perception and delusional beliefs to justify their thoughts and resultant actions...
...amounting to a questionable act at the same level of impropriety toward and against our rights, liberty and freedom as those who we've taken issue with in DC, only difference being that it was done here in a web forum.

No matter how any mortal man or woman tries to discredit and dismiss this...
Conservatism: Not for the Faint of Heart
To be sure, Conservatism is the very heart and soul of America’s principles and values. At the inception of this great country, fearless men and women heartily espoused moral truths and courageously established a land that celebrated not only liberty and freedom, but one that also engrained a moral compass in the hearts and mind of it citizenry more commonly referred to as Conservatism. America was not established on a....... Selena Owens -- Conservatism: Not for the Faint of Heart

...it's in our back and front yards, in our homes and in our places of work, leisure and recreation, and it is not going away until we figure out how to rekindle Divine hope and change in our lives, our families and our country again.
And, the message is understood and presented by others...
Pulling Twigs From Our Nests
For a number of months since President Barack Obama has been president, I’ve been watching further descent of America into Marxism caused by his appointing one after another unelected officials to key positions in government. I’ve been told the mother eagle when she wants her eaglets to learn how to fly begins pulling the twigs from their comfortable nests and the thought came to me that maybe God is allowing twigs to be pulled from our comfortable nests one after another hoping we would as a nation..... ...which presents to us the Divine realities that require our full attention and uninterrupted action if we anticipate and have any hope for the needed changes.
This was clearly known and acted upon by our founding fathers...
...when they carefully and intentionally mixed politics and religion together in their personal lives and in the founding documents they drafted, presented and passed to form and guide our great country.
Our unalienable rights, rights granted to us from and by God, were and still are enumerated in and protected by the founding documents of our nation...
...not by the pen and paper, will and whim, of man, nor are they subject to the legal precedence or procedure of man.
Our unalienable rights are above the laws of man...
...and the laws of man are subject unto them and to the God who provides them to and for man.

Sam - I had read through all of the posts at the time that it was closed. I was referring to this thread and you know it.
